Abisko National Park, Kiruna, Sweden
We fly into Kiruna Airport and drive 1 1/2 hours to Abisko National Park. There we board our 100 meter sailing ship, The Nordic Queen, for 3 days and 2 nights of cuising along the fjord. Keep your ears open for the chimes - they tell you when to look up onto the skies for spectacular sights. During the day, we take excursions into the park to hike, showshoe and crosscounty ski. Tromso, Norway
In the afternoon of our third day, we travel by luxury bus 4 hours north to Tromso, Norway. We have one night at the Ice Palace Hotel, ... blah, blah, blah..... more of same - fur blankets.... sleigh rides to see the lights for two nights - out to large clearings in the dark forest of kjsiodugoihdiog. Here we have thermal heated huts which are open to the sky. Lounge chairs for the perfect viewing angle and warm woolen blankets for extreme comfort. Cruising the Norwegian Fjords
On the afternoon of the fifth day, we board the Viking Charger; the most eco-friendly ship in our fleet, and begin our travels in and out of the many fjords and towns south of the arctic circle and along the norwegian coast.
